thyssenkrupp Materials North America

From thyssenkrupp Materials NA to tk accelis Materials Plus

Understanding Our Brand Transformation

thyssenkrupp Materials NA (in Canada only – represented as thyssenkrupp Materials CA, LTD) is becoming part of tk accelis Materials Plus. Read the press release.

While our name is changing, our commitment to serving customers across Canada is not. Customers will continue working with the same teams, receiving the same products and services, and relying on the same expertise and support they trust today.

This transition strengthens the connection between our Canadian business and the broader capabilities of tk accelis Materials Plus while maintaining the local relationships, service, and responsiveness that have defined our business for years.

What’s Changing

  • Our Name:
    tk accelis Materials Plus

What’s Not Changing

  • Your contacts
  • Products and Services
  • Contracts and Operations

Why It Matters

  • Simpler Experience
  • More Connected Capabilities
  • Easier to do Business

Why the Change?

The transformation to tk accelis Materials Plus reflects both a global and North American evolution.

Globally, thyssenkrupp Materials Services is now tk accelis. The new name reflects the company's evolution from a traditional materials distributor into a broader provider of materials, processing, manufacturing, and supply chain solutions. The name combines the ideas of acceleration and access, representing a commitment to helping customers move faster, operate more efficiently, and navigate increasingly complex supply chains.
In North America, this transformation also created an opportunity to simplify how we present ourselves to customers. Over time, customers interacted with multiple business names, including thyssenkrupp Materials NA  (in Canada only – represented as thyssenkrupp Materials CA, LTD), Copper and Brass Sales, thyssenkrupp Engineered Plastics, and Cobotix. While each business brought valuable expertise and capabilities, customers did not always realize they were part of the same organization or understand the full range of solutions available across our network.

By bringing these businesses together under the tk accelis Materials Plus identity, we're creating a clearer and more connected customer experience. Customers gain a better understanding of who we are, what we offer, and how we can support them across materials, processing, manufacturing, and supply chain solutions.

For years, customers across Canada have known us as thyssenkrupp Materials NA  (in Canada only – represented as thyssenkrupp Materials CA, LTD) and, in some cases, Copper and Brass Sales. While our name is changing, our commitment to local service, reliability, and partnership remains unchanged. This transformation strengthens the connection between our Canadian business and the broader capabilities of tk accelis Materials Plus while preserving the relationships and support our customers rely on every day.

What This Means for You

This is a branding change, not an operational change in how we serve our customers.

You will continue working with the same Canadian team, sourcing the same products, and relying on the same expertise, service, and support you trust today.

Your contacts, agreements, products, services, and day-to-day processes remain unchanged.

Our commitment to helping customers solve material supply, processing, and operational challenges remains exactly the same. This transition simply creates a clearer connection between our local Canadian expertise and the broader materials, processing, and supply chain capabilities available through tk accelis Materials Plus.

What to Expect Going Forward

As we roll out the new brand, you will begin to see updates across our websites, communications, and materials. During this transition period, you may see both thyssenkrupp and tk accelis names as we move toward full alignment. This is expected and does not affect your products, services, orders, or support.

One Identity. North American Strength. Local Canadian Service.
