Anodizing:
An electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts.
Chamfer:
The process of grinding the end of bars to remove edge burrs and improve performance in automatically fed turning machines.
Centerless Grinding:
The process of grinding using the outside diameter (OD) of round bars for improved tolerance, straightness, and surface quality.
Deburring:
The process of removing burrs and sharp corners from cut piece pieces, often done by hand or a vibratory tumbler, depending on the size of the product and the number of pieces.
Drilling:
The process of drilling holes into material of various sizes and lengths to meet customers specifications.
Heat Treat/Annealing:
The process of applying heat to metal in order to alter mechanical or physical properties to meet customer specifications.
Machining:
The process of using machines to form material of various sizes and lengths to customer specifications.
Plating:
The process of adding an outer coating to metal to inhibit corrosion and/or enhance appearance.
Polishing:
The process of smoothing or refining the surface of a material.
