Celazole® PBI (polybenzimidazole) is a high-performance, fully aromatic heterocyclic thermoplastic polymer known for its superior thermal and mechanical properties. With a glass transition temperature of 427°C, it offers exceptional strength and extensive chemical resistance, making it ideal for extreme environments. PBI powder can be compression molded into U-60 shapes, the highest performing base grade, which can then be machined into various parts. Additionally, PBI can be combined with polyaryletherketones (PEEK or PEKK) to create T-Series pellets suitable for injection molding and extrusion. PBI solutions are available for manufacturing hollow fiber membranes, flat sheet membranes, casting films, or coating metal surfaces.
