Glass Silicone Grades
G-7
G-7 is a high-temperature laminate crafted from glass fabric combined with silicone resin, capable of withstanding continuous heat up to 220°C (428°F). It is highly sought after for electrical insulation in extreme thermal environments, including heating elements, arc barriers, and welding equipment.
One of G-7's standout features is its reliable performance in humid conditions, where it maintains its dielectric strength while other laminates may fail. Its inherent flame resistance and ability to resist arc-tracking provide an additional layer of safety and stability, making it an ideal choice for power distribution and high-voltage switching gear.
Although G-7 does not match the mechanical strength of G-10, it is easy to machine and retains its form under stress. This makes it a trusted material for high-performance electrical and thermal applications where precision and reliability are paramount.
