Semitron Grades

Engineered by Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials, the Semitron® ESd family of static dissipative products are designed to combat electrical discharge issues commonly encountered in sensitive electronic components. The most common applications include integrated circuits, hard drive disks, and circuit boards. Semitron® products are also an excellent choice for material handling applications and components in high-speed electronic printing and reproducing equipment.

Unlike many other “dissipative” plastic shapes, Semitron® ESd products are inherently dissipative and electrically stable. They do not rely on atmospheric phenomena for activation or surface treatments for dissipation. Static electricity is dissipated through these products as readily as it is dissipated along the surface. All of these products dissipate 5KV in less than 2 seconds per Mil-B-81705C. Additionally, Semitron® ESd products have thermal capabilities up to 500°F (260°C).

Features and Benefits of Semitron®

  • Maintains stable electrical properties, ensuring reliable performance and minimizing risk of malfunction
  • Inherent dissipative properties reduce need for maintenance
  • High thermal resistance, extending lifespan of product and making it suitable for demanding environments
  • Improved safety

thyssenkrupp Materials NA Canada provides the comprehensive range of Semitron® ESd static dissipative products, tailored to various uses and applications.
