Teflon™ PTFE Grades
Virgin
This is the pure, unmodified form of PTFE offering outstanding chemical resistance, high-temperature performance (up to 260°C), and a very low coefficient of friction. It’s widely used in gaskets, seals, and linings for aggressive environments.
Shapes Offered
GF15–25
Glass fibers are added to improve dimensional stability, wear resistance, and compressive strength. Common in structural and electrical insulation components where creep and deformation must be minimized.
Shapes Offered
CF15–35
Carbon fillers enhance thermal conductivity and wear resistance while maintaining anti-static properties. This grade is preferred in dynamic applications like piston rings and slide bearings.
Shapes Offered
GR15
Offers a balance between thermal conductivity, lubricity, and chemical resistance. Used in high-speed, high-load applications with continuous sliding or oscillating movement.
Shapes Offered
BR40
Provides improved wear resistance and higher thermal conductivity but reduces chemical resistance. Used in high-load bearing applications like bushings and thrust washers.
Shapes Offered
PIG
Colorant added for visual identification in food or pharmaceutical applications. Properties remain similar to virgin PTFE but may include FDA-compliant additives.
Shapes Offered
ETCH
Etched surfaces allow for bonding to metals or other materials. Used in tank linings, diaphragms, or laminated parts that require chemical resistance.
