C330 is a low leaded yellow brass with 35% composition of lead, iron, and zinc. Only produced in tube form, it is highly rated for soldering, brazing and cold working. Due to lead content, welding is not recommended.

Characteristics

Formable and machinable yellow brass. Best used in minimal corrosive conditions using processes which include machining, piercing, forming and punching.

Typical Uses

Plumbing accessories, pump cylinders and lines.

Machinability ratings must be recognized as approximate values. They are a reasonable guide to relative tool life and power required for cutting. Variables of speed, cutting oil, feed, and depth of cut will significantly affect these ratios.
